Save the Date: In Celebration of Mothers, 11th Annual Luncheon
Friday, May 9, 2014
The Clubhouse @ Peacock Gap, San Rafael
Keynote Speaker: Joshua Safran
Meet Joshua Safran: attorney, writer, speaker, and "occasional rabbi" who was featured in the award-winning documentary Crime After Crime for his pro-bono efforts to free Deborah Peagler, a wrongfully incarcerated battered woman. Joshua took on the LA District Attorney in a 7-year fight for justice -- and has since become a champion for women's rights and a zealous advocate for survivors of domestic violence and the wrongfully imprisoned.
Now in his newly-published memoir Free Spirit, Joshua tells his own personal story. He will share with us how a 10 year old boy living with the terror of domestic violence at home can free himself -- and his mother -- to become the man he is today.
Ways you can get involved!
Sponsor the Luncheon!
We rely on financial sponsorships to cover the cost of the luncheon so all of the profits from the event go directly to support our services and the people who use them!
Donate to our Auction!
Our event committee is always on the hunt for inkind donations to fill out our giant silent auction.
Become a Table Captain!
If you have been moved by the work of Center for Domestic Peace, here is your opportunity to share that inspiration with your community.
The seats of the Luncheon are filled by a team of committed Table Captains who invite friends, family, and community. Being a Table Captain is a fulfilling way to partner with Center for Domestic Peace, have your community learn more about your passion, and help make the Luncheon a successful event.
